Why we do this
SALIN is about Southeast Asia. It is a news platform for the publishing industry in Southeast Asia. SALIN aims to highlight the who, how, what, why and where of the literary world in Southeast Asia.

With more than one billion people and myriad languages, the stories of Southeast Asia often get lost in the big world of publishing and SALIN aims to correct that. With local contributors who understand local languages, SALIN will tell the stories of the rich cultural and literary diversity that is Southeast Asia.
​
SALIN was founded by Alda Trisda and Linda T Lingard, both with substantial experience in the publishing world. We hope that publishers, agents, writers, illustrators, booksellers and all those in the publishing industry in Southeast Asia will see SALIN as their platform, a place to share their news to each other and to the rest of the world.

ALDA TRISDA
Yayasan Trisda Literatur
Alda Trisda is also the founder and owner of the foundation, Yayasan Trisda Literatur. She is passionate about Indonesian literature and has been active in shedding light on the works of esteemed and talented Indonesian authors. Her past experiences in lobbying organisation, European Photovoltaic Industry Association, have led her to share her passion with team members and officially establish the agency. She is based nearby Brussels, Belgium and currently lives with her supportive husband and two beautiful children. She is reachable at: aldatrisda@gmail.com.
LINDA LINGARD
Oyez!
Linda Lingard has worked in publishing for more than 30 years. Her first job after graduating with a degree in Economics was at a printing factory where she learned about type, paper and ink. After working for several years at magazines, science and legal publishing, she co-founded YGL Management Sdn Bhd, a licensing management company, and a children's book publishing house known for the Oyez! imprint that specialises in picture books.
